Chpt 2 (Pg14)


 3. Lust:


From those late-night flirty calls with strange women and men, to outside-marriage sexual pleasures, to ungodly, immoral thoughts—all of that would have to stop in order to be a true disciple. It's the price to pay for discipleship.




1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 16-20 (KJV)


"[9] Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, [10] nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. [16] What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

 [17] But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. [18] Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. [19] What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? [20] For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."




The Lord was without sin. If you don't want your potency in Christ to be tampered with, free yourself from sin.

The Lord is gracious and merciful, but you'd continue to remain in one level in the realm of the Spirit—no power, no fire. Never let your fire go down.


If you can't be like Paul, and stay without a spouse, stop deceiving yourself. You are single, but you are harloting... There's judgment. It's not far... You either get married, or you put yourself under control.




Romans 8:13 (KJV)


"[13] For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live."




This death is the spiritual death—separation from God, from God's surveillance, from the anointing, and from God's perfect will.

Stop committing adultery! Stop fornicating! Stop all those dirty talks! Exchanging your nudes, and you say you are a follower?


Demons are waiting for the day of reckoning to disgrace you.


Don't be tired of self-control or self-discipline. Let us hold on a little longer... The Lord Jesus is coming soon.

If you are living in sin, repent. The Lord is coming for a perfect church without blemish or stain.




Matthew 5:29 (NIV)


"[29] If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell."




Mortify your members by the Spirit. When you are so full of the Spirit, it's easy to resist temptation.

Endure... And pray. You tackle sexual urges by gross self-control, but you do not tackle lust by discipline; you tackle lust by the Spirit—being full of the knowledge of God, of His will, by having constant fellowship, and by staying in His divine presence.
