The Uprooting of Weeds from the Wheat
There's going to be an uprooting of the weeds from the wheat: just like the Lord prophesied. The Lord Jesus is the greatest prophet; all His prophecies come true. The tribulation and persecution come to expose the true intent of every member of the Church.
Just as in the story of the two women who argued before King Solomon over a baby, when he sentenced the child to death, the true intentions of both mothers were revealed. One’s love drew back, while the other’s love clung, pleading that the child be kept alive, even if she would not be the custodian.
Similarly, when the Church faces persecution, many will pull away. They will betray the Church—members betraying brethren and even their spiritual leaders. Many Judases will emerge.
Then, many false prophets will appear: prophets of doom and deception. They will mislead even God’s people.
But those who truly know their God will be strong and perform exploits. There will be false reports claiming the Lord has come, urging people to believe in one God. This is the spirit of the antichrist. He is the ultimate false prophet. Remember: the tribulation will not follow the Rapture; the Rapture will come first.
The love of many will grow cold. They will burn out, take detours, and lose their conviction. But the Lord assures us: “He who holds on to the end will be saved.”
We must deepen our roots in Christ so that when the storms blow, when trials beat upon our backs, we remain standing strong.
