Resilience
Proverbs 24:16 (ESV)
“...for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.”
Resilience is the mental ability to cope with crisis and bounce back after emotional distortion.
Sometimes your adversaries set traps. The Word of God tells us that he who digs a pit will fall into it, and in vain is a trap set in the sight of a bird. Even if you walk into such traps, consciously or unconsciously, you must learn to rescue yourself and act as though nothing happened. Even if you are embraced with public scandal, true or untrue, act as though nothing happened. Keep moving.
Even if you are guilty, do your accusers expect you to stop? Learn holy arrogance. You messed up, fine. But the race isn’t over. Focus. Your offense is between you and God.
So, against adversaries and adversities, you thrive.
