1 Corinthians 15:51 (KJV)

"[51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

[52] in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

[53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality."

This is the rapture we so earnestly warn many about. But they disregard, saying it's been resounded through the ages, and if at all it should happen, not in their age; they'd become grannies and grandpas, even die, and the rapture would not take place. Ignoring the signs of the end times and prophecies materializing.

Jesus gave an example of the fig tree; one could understand the times and seasons by looking at its nature and development.

But no! Like their fathers, they are hard-hearted; they never learn. Just like the people of Noah's days were warned, just like the Jews ignored the signs and wonders of the Messiah, so they ignore the message of the return of the King of glory.

What is He coming for?

For us! His disciples and faithful stewards. He did not leave us comfortless; He left us with the Spirit of truth, who bears witness with us that we are the children of the Most High.

We are not of this world, we are from above... He's coming to get us! And we shall ascend to meet Him in the clouds; the grave shall give up its dead; a new image we shall assume. A new likeness we shall put on: the glorious state of the Son of God. And we shall leave this world and its treasures for our Father's home and His heavenly treasures. What glorious moment! And the world would be in turmoil and peril; many shall search for their loved ones; many shall be found of none. He's coming for His people, and we shall be back again to subdue the kings of the earth. And on the great day of judgement, many who thought they did the work of the Lord would be disappointed. Their works won't pass through the fire; it would burn. People like Paul, who persecuted Christ in the honour of God, would be disappointed. Many who twisted the word for their gain and doctrine would be appalled. Many who turned away from the faith would be ashamed. Many workers of iniquity and false brethren shall be exposed.

2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)

"[9] The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

[10] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

[11] Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

[12] looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

[13] Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

[14] Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless."

And in the new heaven and earth, the Lord Jesus would reign as King, not only of the Jews, but to the ends of the earth; His sovereignty, His monarchy shall dominate and subjugate, and every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord, because the world is His inheritance. So even Jesus Christ still waits for the promise the Father made to Him over 2,000 years ago. Through faith and patience, we obtain promises.
