  Wear your scars, but don't let them define you. In the rise, race, and journey of life, we tend to witness ugly circumstances.  We make wrong choices that rub against our very nature—our humanity.  In our pursuit of divinity, we try to tag our humanity along. We try to  satisfy our desires and cravings and attain divinity. This race leaves us with scars. No matter how hard we scrub them,  they never erase. When we are conscious of them, they cause us pain  that should have healed. They cause us embarrassment and slow down  our race. Wearing your scars is the acceptance that you had an experience that  tried to knock you down, but you held on to hope and guarded your loins  with resilience. It's understanding that the circumstances were beyond  your control, but you fought your way to safety and sanity. You left the battle with a scar. But this scar doesn't define you.
