Chapter I (pg2)

So you can offer service to God through:

1. WORSHIP

Worship is the act of acknowledging a deity and singing praises, believing in the sovereignty of that being. It can be done in words, actions, in praises, and in sacrifices. Worship is a thing of the heart — in reverence and purity, with honesty and sincerity. You can worship by singing songs of glorification, with your dance and gestures, with your actions of faith, with your offerings.

2. OBEDIENCE

Obedience to God is an act of service: obedience to his word, to his will, obedience to his precepts, obedience to carrying out God's will, obedience to those he put over you. In times of old, the priests and kings. In present times, our spiritual leaders in the form of parents, pastors, and so on.

3. SACRIFICE

Sacrifice can come in different forms: either in giving something costly, or in neglecting certain merits in order to please God. In sacrificing, you have it done his way rather than yours — in tithes, first fruits, and offerings.

In giving, many believers and non-believers argue unreasonably that tithes and offerings are things of the Old Testament and should be done away with. But even Jesus Christ said: "I have not come to destroy the law or the prophets, but to fulfill. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill." Matthew 5:17 (KJV)
