Chapter Three - Devotion

 Devotion and Earnest Prayer

"For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls."

1 Peter 2:25 (KJV)

To walk with the Holy Spirit, you must be devoted: not inconsistent, not unstable, but deeply committed and consistent.

"Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

25. To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen."

Jude 1:24–25 (KJV)

The Holy Spirit leads and guides your path. He is able to keep you from falling. He is your Shepherd, Teacher, Helper, Standby, Advocate, Intercessor, and Strengthener. He renews your courage and always brings you back on your tracks. In Him, you cannot fail, you cannot fall.

To be devoted means to be consumed with something, to be thrilled, raptured, and zealous, offering your time passionately and consistently.

"And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed."

Deuteronomy 31:8 (KJV)

The Holy Spirit is always with you: to feed your soul, illuminate your spirit, and direct your steps.
