Chapter Three (Pg3)
Earnest Prayer
"The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available—dynamic in its working."
James 5:16 (AMP)
Notice it says earnest and continued. Are you willing to try again and again, like Daniel, who prayed for twenty-one days? Are you willing to press in with the cry: “Lord, I want more—deeper, stronger, closer. I want to behold Your glory. Strengthen my conviction to love, trust, and obey.”
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego declared to King Nebuchadnezzar:
" O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king."
Daniel 3:17 (KJV)
Then they boldly added:
"But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up."
Daniel 3:18 (NKJV)
