Chapter V - Service To Your Socialism/Nation
Submission, Conduct, and Service as Believers
"Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority,
14. or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.
15. For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men." 1 Peter 2:13-15 (NIV)
Sinners take enormous delight in pointing out the mistakes of God’s saints. They are often waiting eagerly to mock any flaw in your behavior. Even your parents may have once said:
"Ehhnn, later you would say you are a Christian. And you are going to church oh!"
Some even dramatize their disapproval to a young believer: “I’ll come to your church and report you to your pastor. What’s the name of your church again? Where is it located?”
This is why your mode of conduct is important. It portrays your maturity, prudence, and discretion. As a disciple of the Lord Jesus, you must walk in good conduct. Even your attitude can draw people to Christ. When you have mastery over anger—responding to bitterness with kindness, to violence with peace—you reflect the very character of God.
