Inviting the presence of the Lord Jesus is simple:

Matthew 18:20 (New Heart English Bible)

"20. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am in the midst of them."

The first way is through communion and fellowship. When you gather with like-minded believers for the purpose of exalting the name of the Lord Jesus and facilitating His agenda, He shows up.

The Lord Jesus never told a lie; He never lies. He didn’t say where two or three are fishing, or chatting, or singing. He said, "Where two or three are gathered in My name." What does it mean to be gathered in His name? Let’s look at the preceding verses:

Matthew 18:18-19 (New Heart English Bible)

"Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

19 Again, truly I tell you, that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by My Father who is in heaven."

This is a gathering and togetherness aimed at exercising the authority in the name of the Lord Jesus. It was the Lord Himself who has said and is still saying, "Ask, and you will receive. Whatsoever you ask in My name." Does the name of Jesus work for everyone? No. Why? That leads us to the second means the Lord Jesus’ presence is invited:
