 Holistic health is an approach to well-being that views a person as a whole, not just as separate parts or symptoms. It recognizes that physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual health are deeply interconnected, and that true wellness comes from balancing all these areas rather than treating illness alone.






An individual has to find a balance: not discarding any part of himself, but realizing just like he/she needs his/her head, arms and legs, every part of his/her ethereal being is vital.






Instead of focusing only on disease or discomfort, holistic health emphasizes prevention, lifestyle choices, and self-awareness. It encourages healthy nutrition, regular physical activity, emotional resilience, mental clarity, meaningful relationships, and spiritual fulfillment. Stress management, adequate rest, and a supportive environment are also considered essential to overall health.


This seems like a lot of work... Imagine having 24 hours a day, and then you have 7 tasks on your to-do list for that day. And for the whole month, you have 7 agenda's which you've split into 22 tasks. And these tasks cannot be delegated as your delegates are all on their toes trying to produce results.





The mistake many make is they enter Avengers mode and start executing... They forget the need for leisure, skincare, oral care, hydration, dieting... Etc. It's complicating to balance all these and still have time for family and loved ones.

Imagine being on your toes and your spouse is nagging why you haven't called in three days, and then your kids are telling you about how they answered questions for the first time in their classrooms. As essential as those details are, you need to type documents and analyse reports sent to you... So you brush these aside. 







This pattern repeats, your wife feels neglected and starts seeking affection where she shouldn't and the next thing is walking into the office on a Monday morning with a polite greeting from divorce papers slammed on your desks...

You try to talk to your friends but everyone has labeled you selfish and calling only when you need advice. They'd tell you how you never showed up to their family gatherings, or ceremonies. 









Where do you start explaining from? How you have very little time for yourself, you even skip meals and experience withdrawal episodes all because you have to be competent, efficient, and reliable in your workspace.

This is chaotic. Now the emotional state of such an individual declines, but his/her spiritual life must stay fired up. No matter how he's feeling, no matter where he is, he must squeeze out 4 hours to pray at midnight because he or she doesn't even know how to accomplish the next projects outlined for the upcoming months.






With all these going on, he/she has to stay physically fit and keep up a good, fashionable appearance.






In holistic health, the individual is an active participant in their healing and well-being. The goal is not just to survive, but to thrive, achieving harmony between body, mind, and spirit for long-term wellness.


So how do you find and keep a balance between your physical health, mental health, spiritual health, social health, and emotional health?
