Genesis 1:31 (AMP)
“God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good, and He validated it completely. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.”
The signature of God is beauty. Wherever God manifests Himself, beauty follows. Beauty is a thing of the spirit. It is an aura, a life force, an energy that radiates from divine origin.
Nature is beautiful. Humans are beautiful. Trees, birds, even wild animals: they cause you to marvel.
But above all of this visible beauty, there is a Spirit of Beauty that beautifies our lives. The Spirit who is of God fills us with glory, splendor, and majesty beyond what the eyes can see.
Beauty: A Reflection of Glory
This beauty brings adoration and praise. It brings glory and splendor. It brings honor and stardom. It attracts riches and wealth.
Everything beautiful. Everything splendid. Everything brand new.
The beauty of God does not retain one dimension for long. It constantly changes. Every day reveals a new dimension of radiance, a fresh phase of beauty; one more magnificent than the other, more glorious and amazing.
When the Spirit of Beauty Visits Your Life
What happens when the Spirit of beauty visits your life?
There is no shame or reproach. Your life becomes a host of celebration. Beauty attracts favor, benevolence, and abundance. The Spirit of Beauty decorates your life with spiritual and earthly blessings.
There is a song we used to sing:
> “You've made my life so beautiful.
And as You are, You have made me here on earth.
There is nothing greater than You,
That’s why I love You,
Forevermore…”
Beauty attracts greatness. It is a magnet. Every beauty is destined to give glory to God. Through it, people are drawn to us—and through us, redirected back to Him.
When God beautifies your life, it is to cause others to marvel at Him and believe in His precepts.
A Contrast: Earthly vs. Spiritual Beauty
Earthly beauty can be corrupted. Time can weaken it. Circumstances can tarnish it.
But the beauty of the Spirit is incorruptible.
One might argue: What of Lucifer?
Lucifer did not have the Spirit of God with him. He stood as an entity on his own, disconnected from the source of true beauty: God Himself.
A Word for the Broken-Hearted
Do you feel like there is nothing beautiful about your life? Or perhaps people have spoken harshly of your appearance, your body, your worth?
Speak to your life. Speak to your body. Speak to your soul.
Declare:
> I am made in the image and likeness of God.
My life is beautiful.
Everything about me is beautiful.
God has beautified me.
The Spirit of Beauty is at work in me.
A Prayer for You
May God's beauty envelope your life: your body, your soul, and your spirit. There is no reproach in your life. Everything about you causes men and spirits to glorify God.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God bless you.
Shalom, shalom.
