🌿 The Seed of Greatness
Colossians 1:18 (NLT)
> “Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body.
He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead.
So he is first in everything.”
Christ is the seed of Abraham. Jesus our Lord is the Son of David, who is of the Tribe of Judah. He has the preeminence over everything. Before He was in His mother’s womb, the Lord had set Him apart for greatness.

Chosen from the Womb
Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV)
> “[5] Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
Psalm 22:9–10 (KJV)
> “[9] But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts.
[10] I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.”
As replicants of Christ, we all have the seed of greatness in us.
Even if there’s someone whom the world has marked as a nonentity, a write-off, a failure, or a “born-by-mistake”… when he becomes a partaker in Christ, he inherits the seed of greatness. All of a sudden, he starts to metamorphose.
He’s a changed man! Hallelujah!

When Ordinary Becomes Extraordinary 😳
We’ve seen it over and over. Peter, the timid, aggressive apostle, became the master fisher of fish and men. If he had kept at it as long as Christ instructed him to do so, he could have been the biggest supplier of fish to all Jerusalem and beyond.
Greatness is typically accomplishment set in an order barely none can outmatch.
> “Saul has killed a thousand,
David has killed ten thousand.”
David knocked down the Philistine giant whom no one else dared to challenge. This made him instantly great. Prior to that, he was astounding for his remarkable skill in playing the harp. This gift made him stand in King Saul’s royal courts.
The champion once stayed local in the bushes, faithfully taking care of sheep — where the Spirit of Greatness groomed him.

The Spirit of Greatness
The Spirit of the Lord is the Spirit of Greatness.
When He’s with you, and you give Him your attention, He sets you apart for greatness.
He’ll rub you with the spirit of exceptionalism.
Your enemies can’t do without you because you are constantly needed.
If they take you out, who would get the job done?
King Saul was only blinded by his wrath toward David. If he hadn’t chased the exceptional slayer of the Philistines, would he have died in battle?
---
Christ — The Supreme Example
Christ is the greatest. He is supreme and has set an achievement none else can outmatch.
He died for the whole world and paid the price for the sins of all, though He never sinned or told a lie.
Think...
What is that thing I’ll do that no one else can?
That is the jar and vessel you should use to nurture the seed of greatness in you.

Affirmations of Greatness
Say to yourself:
“I’m great!”
“I’m exceptional!”
“I have the seed of greatness in me!”
“I can do all things through Christ who energizes me.”
“I have the Spirit of Greatness, and I’m caused to excel far above the imaginable.”

A Prayer for You
May God’s Spirit continually rest upon you,
and may your affairs be instrumented to birth greatness in your life,
in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
God bless you. Shalom.
