Using The Name Of Jesus

"17. And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." Mark 16:15 (KJV).



And so, a little boy in some country is having a nasty nightmare where he sees demons hovering over him. They are all across his room; then he goes, "In the name of Jesus, get out!"

He's shaking now because not only do they not get out, they come over to him and start tugging at his blanket, poking his face. He screams.


There's another scenario: a gentleman has sleep paralysis, and he can see creatures all over his room. "Jesus!" he calls, but nothing happens. Why?


People use the name of Jesus, and there's no result. Why? It's because the name of Jesus is a place. "In my name"—the word "in" refers to "inside."






Colossians 1:16 (KJV)

"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him and for him."



The name of Jesus is a place full of endless possibilities. It is the kingdom of heaven. The kingdom of heaven resides in his name; the power and authority over all principalities and rulers is in his name. Peace is in his name. Everything you can ever think of, more than you can imagine, things you've never seen or heard of, are in his name.

In order to make a purchase, you need a currency, and our currency is faith. So, by faith in his name, all things are yours.


"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one cometh to the Father but by me." John 14:6 (KJV).


Then he says, "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me." John 15:4 (KJV).


John 15:7 "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."


The truth (the word that leads you to your abode). As you study the word, you are tuned to the frequencies of Christ.

The way (the way by which the word leads you to...).

The life (your abode, your dwelling place where you enter into God's rest. It is from here you are seated with Christ far above all principalities and powers). How do you know you've grown to this level of maturity?

"These signs shall follow them that believe." So until you see at least two of these signs, you've not entered the place—the promised land. You are still sojourning: a traveler, but not a wanderer, because you are led by the Spirit of truth, through the way, to the life.
