CHAPTER THIRTY: PEACE IN CHAOS

Psalms 27:1–3 MSG

"[1] Light, space, zest—that's God! So, with Him on my side, I'm fearless, afraid

 of no one and nothing.

[2] When vandal hordes ride down, ready to eat me alive, those bullies and

toughs fall flat on their faces.

[3] When besieged, I'm calm as a baby. When all hell breaks loose, I'm collected and cool."

Peace. What is peace? It's the absence of noise, fret, confusion, and trouble.

Peace is a state. There is a peace that is of God—a peace that money can't buy.

It doesn't matter the situation. It doesn't matter the circumstances. The peace

of the Lord will keep you. However, you have to open your heart to trust God,

believing that you'll see the end of every challenge.

What if you are accused of things you didn't do?

In all sincerity, pour out your heart to God. Tell Him how you feel.

I Peter 5:7 (NKJV)

"[7] casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you."

But really, what can you say to the God who knows everything? He already

 knows.

Refuse to be perturbed. Refuse to be shaken. Can't you see it? It's all working

out for your good. Every challenge is pregnant with a testimony. Hence, I tell

 you... rejoice!

Psalms 27:6–10 MSG

"[6] God holds me head and shoulders above all who try to pull me down. I'm

headed for His place to offer anthems that will raise the roof! Already I'm

singing God-songs; I'm making music to God.

[7–9a] Listen, God, I'm calling at the top of my lungs: 'Be good to me! Answer

me!' When my heart whispered, 'Seek God,' my whole being replied, 'I'm

seeking Him!' Don't hide from me now!

[9b–10] You've always been right there for me; don't turn Your back on me

now. Don't throw me out; don't abandon me. You've always kept the door

open. My father and mother walked out and left me, but God took me in."

If everyone forsakes you, God won't forsake you. If everyone turns their back

 on you, God won't.

What human love is greater than a mother's? Even when that fails, the Lord's won't.

So then, be confident in His love—that He will always come through for you,

even when He is silent, even when you feel distant from Him.

Let your heart be at peace, even when there is pestilence.

Even when death growls at you, when you are troubled, when you are scared,

 say to yourself:

"I refuse to fear."

"I refuse to be moved."

"The peace of the Lord garrisons my heart."

"I am at peace."

"Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world."

"I am born of God. I have overcome the world."

"I know my origin."

"I am from above."

"Hence, I'm bigger than any circumstance, any challenge, or any pestilence."

"I know how it goes... It's all working out for my good."

"Hallelujah! Praise God!"

A PRAYER FOR YOU

May God disappoint every evil ordinance against you. May He prolong your

youth and beautify your life with joy, peace, and laughter. May God fortify

you and impart to you inner might. May He strengthen your heart to endure

and see the end of every tribulation, trial, and test. Amen.

God bless you.

Shalom.
