Knowledge is power; smart people rule the world.

There's a difference between being smart, being intelligent, and being brilliant.

When you search for the leader of a gang, he's usually uglier, lankier, smaller, or

 visually less intimidating. But he has something the others don't: guts. He has a smart

 mouth. He bullies people who could knock him down with a single strike, yet he

 creates the illusion of being formidable, so no one dares to challenge him.

A man the world considers unattractive may be able to marry a beautiful woman, not

 only because of his money, but because of his confidence, courage, and boldness.

When you dare to stand up and do so confidently, everyone listens.

When you issue commands and do so knowledgeably, everyone obeys.

Knowledge is the power every leader holds over every follower.

Every leader has had a long-standing romance with books and has courted libraries. We

 have worn out the doorsteps of wise men and have embodied the wisdom of our

 predecessors.

Books give you knowledge, and knowledge gives you understanding. This

 understanding is what makes you smart, and when you apply what you know... you

 elevate 

People often project who they are onto others and project who they are not to the

 world.

I once encountered a lady who posted Scripture on her social media without 

fail, every day. This woman turned out to be the most wicked woman I have 

ever come across— jealous, miserly, deceptive, cunning, and venomous. Yet, I 

prayed for her and kept forgiving her.

In the not-so-distant past, I encountered a man who accused everyone of 

being proud and arrogant simply because they refused to be trampled on by 

setting healthy boundaries.

The first lady was projecting to the world the image of how holy and 

righteous she wanted people to perceive her to be. Meanwhile, she was just 

like the Pharisees the Lord Jesus warned about—those who love to make so 

much noise in public spaces as though they know it all.

Matthew 23:26-28 KJV

'[26] Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter,

 that the outside of them may be clean also. [27] Woe unto you, scribes and

 Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed

 appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all

 uncleanness. [28] Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but

 within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.'

Empty drums make the loudest noise, while full drums barely make a sound.

Drums that are full appear empty because they make so little noise that

 one would hardly know there is substance inside them. Empty drums, 

however, draw a great deal of attention, and when anyone is attracted 

enough to look inside, there is nothing there.

People who try too hard are usually empty. They are afraid of being seen for 

who they truly are, so they project the opposite.

People who pretend not to care often care the most, but they project what 

they are not to protect what they truly feel.

People who act overly sweet and nice often do so to project what they are 

not, to gain access, leverage, and control.

That, my fellas, is the irony of today's world.

The gentleman, on the other hand, accused everyone of pride because, deep 

down, that was exactly what he was full of. Therefore, he believed 

everyone else was just like him.

People who accuse others of having ulterior motives are often the real 

schemers.

Little wonder the Lord Jesus said, "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth

 speaks."

So, when you hear someone constantly accusing another, help him

 remove the log from his own eye before pointing out the speck in 

someone else's.
