Chapter Four (Pg2)

2 Corinthians 4:7-11, 16 ESV

"[7] But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. [8] We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; [9] persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; [10] always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our bodies. [11] For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

[16] So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.

With all the pain; you keep at it. You learn to run under water, to dive on the rock. To walk past the fences as though the walls aren't there. Eyes on the price.  You are not shaken even though an army encroaches you. Your spirit is fortified, and your mind made up. No relenting, not a moments pause.

Psalm 121:1-8 ESV

"[1] I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? [2]  My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. [3] He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. [4] Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. [5] The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. [6]  The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. [7] The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. [8] The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore."
