CHAPTER TWENTY- THREE: LIGHT OF THE WORLD
V.1-3.
Haggai 2:9 NLT
[9] The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory, says the
Lord of Heaven’s Armies. And in this place I will bring peace. I, the Lord of
Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!”
V.4-7.
Jesus! The Word! He is the true Light. He's that glowing candlestick that sets
every other stick on fire and never burns out.
V.8.
Because He lives, we live. Because He glows, we glow.
V.9.
John 9:4-5 KJV
"[4] I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night
cometh, when no man can work. [5] As long as I am in the world, I am the
light of the world."
V.10-13.
Now the Lord Jesus is no longer physically on the earth, but His fire still glows
in us. He burns through us. He radiates through us and illuminates the world
through us.
V.14.
As long as we are in the world, we are the light. V.15. When the Lord gathers His
people to Himself, v.16. the world will experience profound spiritual darkness.
No man v.17. would be able to work when the light is out.
V.18.
Light is that which makes all things manifest. It reveals. It exposes. It
enlightens.
You are the light of the world. To your radiance there is no diminishing. Your
latter light surpasses the former. As you behold the true Light... You glow
fiercer, stronger, unrepentantly, irrefutably.
2 Corinthians 3:8, 10, 12-13, 18 ( KJV)
"[8] how shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
[10] For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by
reason of the glory that excelleth.
[12] Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: [13]
and not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel
could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
[18] But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are
changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the
Lord."
V.19-22.
Sometimes we glow so much that demons are terrified to look at us. The Lord
Jesus shines far brighter than the noonday sun. Has the sun ever blinded
anyone at first glance? Saul was struck blind!
V.23-26.
Sometimes my room glows so brightly that it terrifies me! I however refuse to
fret because I know it's the Lord. Most times He doesn't say much. He just
makes jokes about being the Greatest Stalker of All Time; and then He says,
"I'm watching you."
V.27.
And so, because He glows, I glow. Because He shines, I shine. And because He
is the Light, I am the light.
V.28.
You are the light. Say it!
"I am the Light!"
"I'm shining! I'm shining! I'm shining!"
"To my radiance there is no diminishing!"
"As I behold the Word (Christ our Lord), the latter glory surpasses the former."
V.29.
Hallelujah.
A PRAYER FOR YOU.
V.30-33.
"May your light illuminate your world. May your light shine so brightly that
kings and nobles would come to the brightness of your rising. May you be like
the Sun that goes forth in all its strength, and may you never be hidden behind
any dark cloud. V.34. May your light dissolve every ministry of darkness around you.
May the light in you expose every friendly foe. May your light not flicker, In the
name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen."
V.35.
God bless you.
V.36.
Shalom.
